I think to watch movie in english and try to translate in his brain is good to practice english to be better in it !
I say that because it's my experience, on the beginning of the last holidays I was very very bad in english, and I watched the second season of prison break^^ Now I can speak a little with an american native [it's not a real american native, but don't worry^^]

Personally, each time I say a sentance in french, I try to say it in English (it makes work your translation speed )

I think too that she made a french translation from "Si j'ai bien compris"^^ But minidian, we're in the english part, so the sentences construction is an english construction, not a french construction !

See english spoken movies is not so good because when you don't have bases(?) in english, you don't understand, just some sentences but no more... The best, you begin to learn the english words with the pronunciation and after you can listen to the movies. In my idea... ^^
